FOUNDER & C.E.O. – MR. KISHOR BIYANI

  • Kishore Biyani is the Managing Director of Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited and the Group Chief Executive Officer of Future Group.
  • Kishore Biyani led the company’s foray into organized retail with the opening up of the Pantaloons family store in 1997. This was followed in 2001 with the launch of Big Bazaar, a uniquely Indian hypermarket format that democratized shopping in India.

  • The year, 2006 marked the evolution of Future Group, that brought together the multiple initiatives taken by group companies in the areas of Retail, Brands, Space, Capital, Logistics, Media & Brand Factory.

than  85 cities and 60 rural locations across the country.The company’s stores cover around 15 
million square feet of retail space and attract around 220 million customers each year. Future Group

by over 30,000 small, medium and large entrepreneurs and manufacturers from across India.

IMPORTANT MILESTONES:

 
1987 :   The company is incorporated under the name of Manz Wear Private Limited.

1992 :   Pantaloon Retail India Ltd makes an Initial public offer (IPO).

1994 : The Pantaloon Shoppe, Future Group’s exclusive menswear store in a franchisee format is launched across the nation. The company starts distribution of branded garments through multi-brand retail outlets across the nation.

2007 Future Group crosses $1 billion turnover mark.

Pantaloon Retail wins the International Retailer of the Year at US-based National Retail Federation convention in New York and Emerging Retailer of the Year award at the World Retail Congress held in Barcelona.

2008  :  Big Bazaar crosses the 100-store mark, marking one of the fastest ever expansion of a hypermarket format anywhere in the world. Total operational retail space crosses 10 million square feet mark.

Future Group acquires rural retail chain, Aadhar present in 65 rural locations.

2010  :  Future Group launches products in key FMCG categories through Sach, a brand co-created with Sachin Tendulkar.
